Warzou - Model World 3

Nous Disques' latest close encounter comes via the murky machinations of Warzou, whose 'Model World 3 EP' digs deep into the more menacing outer reaches of electronic music's soundscapes.
Opening up with 'Meter Resist' we are presented with a meaty and boisterous slab of industrial machine music, before the clatteringly, clammy monster that is ‘Réunion Secrete’ drags us kicking and screaming into its sunken place. The remainder of the EP is given over to the exceptional 'Run' in its 3 colours, the stutteringly retro experimental original, vivid with rapid-fire dancehall decorations and a smash and grab drumline, Jay Glass Dubs' interpretation, interpolating a vintage ambient-trance atmosphere and the triumphant J-Shadow version taking it way back to a deep and dark rootsy sphere, counterpoising reverence to the original jungle stylings with a bold forward facing belief.
