Ayln - Machinery of Night EP

Nous's latest musical work of art comes via the artist Ayln who offers up the Machinery of Night EP,a 6 track homage to second wave techno. Tracks like Bones in my Soul use skittering fragmented sounds loops, with an urgency that is as dizzying as it is captivating, while Final Call is a more solid dancefloor cut with a delicate melody propulsed along by a squelchy kick; Nite Ride is its own story, atmospheric with lots of room around the central motif for dissonant loops and chops.
Closing track YODO is perhaps the most accomplished, structurally more similar to something coming from the UK bass scene at the start, it morphs into a very abstract piece of electronic art going through five distinct phases as the track progresses. Needless to say fans of Millsart will delight in this record.
